Why you should read this blog:

If for no other reason, you should read this blog because of all the different links I make available to you.

There is Sara Bayle’s, The Daily Ocean, which is an incredible recording of one woman’s attempt to deal with the trash on this planet; she has enlisted the aid of people in her community and the local schools, friends and family.

Or how about the news sources you can link to through my site:

Environmental websites that you can link to:

Is there a group or organization or that one person you know who is making a difference that you feel should be on my list?  Tell me!

Have you read Kate’s blog: Kate’s Considered Life ?  She has inspired me numerous times when I was feeling like quitting this struggle.

Don’t quit; don’t give up.

One of my favorite phrases, from Shakespeare’s, The Tempest, is the sea-change — a marked or profound transformation:

Full fathom five thy father lies;
Of his bones are coral made;
Those are pearls that were his eyes;
Nothing of him that doth fade,
But doth suffer a sea-change
Into something rich and strange.
Sea-nymphs hourly ring his knell:
Ding-dong.
Hark! now I hear them — Ding-dong, bell.

I feel that I am a part of something that is growing, that is becoming, that is profound.  Transformative.  This planet we live on is rich and strange, and I am a part of it.

We are all a part of the earth.  Go visit Hine Taiao and learn about a Maori’s perspective, about being a caretaker…

Go and read some of the blogs on my list.  Be a part of the solution.

Rethink.  Refuse.  Reduce.  Reuse.
