Yeah, I have gone beyond plastic…

It just started with not wanting to use plastic bags at the grocery store…

And now I leave every door open, every window, every shade,” and the beat picks up and I am dancing across the floor of my living room…

Go click on that link, play the song, consider how we are all connected, and when the music starts — come back here and read on…

And now it is a part of my everyday life, and I mention it to people I know on a day-to-day basis. It is a part of our lives.

Ours…

Beyond plastic.

Look around — tell me what is ridiculous about the plastic you see.

Really? You need to wrap my new chop saw — in the box surrounded by styrofoam — in plastic? Really? It’s already in a box surrounded by styrofoam.

It’s a power tool — I do not need it to be wrapped in plastic.  Not one single individual part of it.  And, yet, every individual part of it is…

Why?

Well, I just talked myself into a corner and now I wonder why Home Depot would wrap a box with a styrofoam protected DeWalt Mitre Saw in plastic? I think I might wish to enquire…

So, I will.

May I ask, what are you questioning about the plastic in your life?  And what kind of power tool have you purchased lately?  I want to build (and my new chop saw would sure be good for that) a chicken coop.  Yes!  Fresh eggs!

Responsibility is not convenient — it’s necessary.

Rethink. Refuse. Reduce. Reuse.
